Born and raised in French-speaking Canada, and a talented pastry chef from a young age, Rochelle trained in Australia before her passion for fine cakes and confections took her across the globe. After working extensively in pastry kitchens across Europe, most notably for an exclusive wedding cake salon in London and the world-famous Hotel Sacher in Vienna,
Rochelle took her diverse experience and knowledge back to the restaurants of Australia. Within no time, Rochelle secured senior pastry positions in several of Sydney’s finest dining rooms, including Matt Moran’s Aria.
In 2008, Rochelle opened her first exclusive studio. Here she not only continued to create magnificent cakes and handmade confections that quickly enthralled Perth, but conceived her own take on the traditional ‘high tea’. Outgrowing the first little studio within five short years, Rochelle relocated her business to a larger charming heritage building on Beaufort Street, Highgate – just north of the Perth CBD. With a beautiful, leafy courtyard, generous dining room, retail gallery, extensive kitchen and the elegant character that only a 100-year-old building could exude, Rochelle has created the perfect flagship for her brand in Australia.
